Gridlock - 1/2 yard

We say, lovingly, that this fabric is insane. Its organic cotton. That in itself is difficult to grow, You are constantly battling pests and your yield is anyway low. Its grown in the desert region of India. So it can handle the lack of water and the blistering sun. (Yeah, we were surprised too!) Then, its naturally dyed. You know, with this leaf there and that flower there. Because that wasn't enough work, this fabric was loomed without using any electricity. All you need is a rickety old loom, functioning arms and legs and decades of hand looming expertise and you are good to go. Last but not the least, it keeps the farmers, the weavers and their soil and air around them clean and healthy. Nice eh?!
