Light as Air - 1/2 yard
The British came to India originally for the spices. They stayed for the textiles. This cloth is one of the those textiles. Light as air, transparent to the point of causing confusion, this one is pretty spectacular. It is made on a loom thats powered by hands and feet. You wanna talk about sustainability? Talk to these weavers in India whose forefathers made fabrics for conservative Indians handling a heat of 100F without any air-conditioning. This world does not truly appreciate how complicated fabrics are and what nerds these weavers are.
If you think such a spectacularly thin handloomed fabric should suffer the 35 minute pulling and tugging in the washer then we gotta say - we can't be friends.
